Edo Asia is an imaginative and exciting Pan Asian immersive dining experience.
To enter into Edo Asia is to escape. Edo Asia’s lounge bar overlooks Southampton’s medieval Bargate in the heart of the city. Step into Edo Asia, however, and you are transported to an unexpected night garden of cherry blossom, Japanese acers, cascading waterfalls, rising mists and moss-green banquettes against a rocky landscape and under a spectacular night sky of constellations and shooting stars.
The food and drink is as exceptional as the setting. The dining is leisurely with favourite and innovative dishes inspired by Asian cuisines, such as China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia and Thailand, created by outstanding chefs from London’s top restaurants. The cocktails are delicious: flavour infusions are classics with an Asian twist or inventive new concoctions featuring sakes and Japanese whiskies.
Drama and spectacle are added with displays of iconic cultural motifs, including Buddhas, Ganesha and Samurai armour.

Edo Asia is a leisurely dining experience with a focus on small plates and sharing platters, brought to your table as soon as they are freshly prepared. Tuck into robata grilled dishes, sushi, sashimi, tempura, Thai curries and more, to be shared and enjoyed accompanied by an irresistible collection of cocktails, spirits and fine wines.
Bring friends, family and colleagues for relaxed evenings out, fun parties and big celebrations. The garden landscape setting includes convivial spaces, booths and private dining areas behind shoji-style screens. The starry sky, lanterns and multi-coloured light elements combine to create a magical ambience.
Cellar Bar and Party Rooms
Come for drinks and decide to stay and eat. Or come to eat and stay on for drinks downstairs in the Cellar Bar, reached by a dazzling light-spangled staircase, where you can create fun moments and memories in one of the vibrant karaoke and party rooms featuring multi-coloured light displays reflected in mirrored walls. All to the beat of DJ sounds.
